| How is the ejection tube fastened to the barrel? Is the retention screw threaded directly to the barrel or is their a threaded plug staked to the barrel for the retwntion screw to catch like later Colts? |

Ejector rod / tube assemblies don't just fall off or break off the barrel in normal shooting. |

Another video mentioned that that screw should be routinely checked to make sure that it had not worked loose. So it got me curious to go down a rabbit hole. I do not own any colt reproductions. I do have a couple of Blackhawks that I plan on taking a look at though. I've never heard of the issue. |
My Uberti 357's. My Pietta 45's.  It is a good idea to check all your screws for tightness. I bought the middle Uberti used missing it's ejector rod, spring, and housing. I replaced them pretty cheaply. I've never had an ejector rod fly off one of my Ubertis while shooting it. I could see using a strong loktite on that screw as it's not one you will ever need to disassemble to work on the gun. Note the guy that made that video, shoots tuned Uberti's... I shot mine in Cowboy Action for a season and while I'm not a top shooter I never had any issues with them. The timing on that matte finish uberti Hombre of mine could use some work. You can tell just by the lines on the cylinder bolt lock notches. It still goes bang and the chambers line up with the barrel properly. |
