good day to all; I'm interested in a taurus 856 defender 6 shot revolver. I have three taurus revolvers currently one is 30+ years old. All have been issue free, but they are 5 shot 2 inch. I also have a smith M-10 4 inch love it to pieces but a little big for edc. Last year I purchased Colt king cobra 3 inch. I could not get used to the trigger, I tried, I wanted to, the gut was pretty and every thing I expect in a colt. Except the trigger. I sold it. and i'm not sorry. so back to the issue at hand..... Any thought on the above taurus? I hand load 38 special so that is all i'm looking for. As a Police Officer for 25 years I carried a .38 everyday. never felt under gunned. thanks Mac |
| I have a 2" Taurus Model 856 Ultralite. It is a handy gun, same size frame as a modern production Colt King Cobra. It is basically Taurus' version of a Colt Detective Special sized gun and use wise. Even uses HKS DS speed loaders meant for the Colt DS and Colt Cobra. Some of my leather Colt DS holsters even fit my Taurus. |
