The Prodigy was my first and only 2011 (so far). I've had it for 3yrs and 2500rds and have done a number of upgrades to it in the last year. At this point, the only Springfield parts besides the slide/frame are the internals, safety, and hammer. This thing has been pretty reliable overall and has been an absolute joy to shoot, especially now with all the upgrades: -DSC Gunworks barrel/MR1 Comp -Miller Precision Frame, pinned grip safety, magwell -Impact Machine Plate -Red Dirt Trigger -Cosaint Slide Release -EGW Enhanced Guide Rod Coming from striker fired guns this thing feels like a cheat code, as it's very easy to shoot well. Very happy with this thing! |

My first was also a 4.25” prodigy. It was like a cheat code it shot so well. My only gripe was when I first got it it would run like a scalded ape for 50 shots then get slower. It was the ceracoat sludge. Once that wore down smooth as butter. |

Yeah I didn’t have that issue fortunately but I’ve definitely heard about it! |
