I get that there will be some people who already have a K optic and want to re-use it; or they get a deal on one and choose to buy it or whatever... But if you're ok with the compromise of the smaller window, on a pistol that fits a larger window... Then you are probably ok with the gay ass adapter plate compromise as well. I think Ruger called that one correct, and am more than ok with that design compromise. Especially compared to Glock inventing their own bullshit design that originally fit nothing and required gay plates for everything. |

Range report. Mounted a TLR-7A and a Holosun 507Comp GR. Ran 700 rounds through it (no cleaning/lube - just as it came out of the box) with nary a hiccup, other than 507 coming loose a few times (I used the screws included with the optic, which had blue anti-seize on them. Starting around 500 rounds, the screws started to loosen every 100 or so rounds. I'll add loctite). I used a mix of the included magpul mags and factory Glock mags. Pistol shot awesome, and the included sights, which I didn't really like as they come from the factory, compared to Trijicon HDs, for example, were AWESOME. Which is to say they were all but invisible, but usable with the optic off, zeroed correctly from the factory, and otherwise just worked. Trigger was great, very positive, ejection was super consistent, all the rounds ejecting into a 2' x 3' pile in the snow. This was shooting 115 to 147 grain ammo. Reloads were great. As soon as they offer a 17 length grip, I will try that out. I also wish there was texturing for the full grip. However, since a new grip costs $40, this will be easy to fix on my own without being paranoid about messing things up. It really is hard to believe how much value this gun represents. I still don't think that the trigger is better than a Gen 5 Glock, but I do think that it is the best factory Gen 3 trigger that exists and that a little tuning will turn it into a great competition platform. As is this is the gun I'd want to start most new shooters on. |

The RXM has gotten my attention due to the slide optic mounting options. I am not really sure how feel about the Magpul receiver yet as I haven’t shot one yet. Personally I don’t really care much about the modular firing control unit. I am still on the fence about getting one but I am warming up to it… |
| I finally got my RXM out yesterday and ran at least 300 rounds through it with zero issues. I am impressed with this gun for sure! I love the grip and the iron sights. I believe it’s now one of my favorite Glocks! I shot it alongside my G19 and there’s not a whole lot of difference between the two to me or my friends. The Ruger trigger was very close to the Performance Trigger in the G19 according to those that shot both. The Ruger sights were well regulated with my 147gr reloads and I was even scoring regular hits out to 100yards on the steel plates. My older eyes really liked the speed at which I could pick up the sights. Now is it a Glock Killer? IMHO no. It is however a very good gun that I’d highly recommend. I’m for sure looking forward to what else Ruger brings to market with this line! |

What got me to that point is that I shot some bad remanufactured ammunition through my Glock 17. The sidewall of one of the cases blew out. It ejected the magazine, damaging it. It didn’t look like it damaged my magazine release, but I replaced it anyway. With a moderately worse failure it would have likely damaged the lower of the Glock. With the Ruger RXM, that’s not a huge issue. |

For $19.95, you can try it out I'm sort of shocked at the price, considering how cheap the rest of the internal parts are. |

Well hopefully Ruger got my new barrel sent out. A 1\4" back from the muzzle the rifling was borked. Yea I had to go try it on paper just to make sure it wasn't somehow a bughole shooter. But they know all about their issue now. Gun shot shitty like 10 or 12" s shitty. Three or 4 guys on other forums had the same issues. |

I now have 734 rds through my RXM. Gun is stock other than changing to the black frame. I do have a green one coming. My observations thus far. Having owned Glocks since the early 1990’s, I will say that I do not get brass to my head when shooting the RXM. I had those issues with the Gen 3 guns, but the RXM has very good extraction and ejection. No noticeable wear to the components. The firing pin assembly still appears like new. Just the slightest bit of wear on the barrel hood. All magazines, Glock Gen 5 and the supplied Pmags have functioned without any problems. Ammo has ranged from WWB FMJ/JHP/S&B FMJ/Hornady Defense and PPU FMJ/JHP. Some magazines were loaded with a mixed variety from the above. No issues at all. No barrel problems, no slide lock issues, nothing. I absolutely love this gun, and will be adding a few more. Can’t wait for the G17 size frames! Do I recommend this Ruger? Absolutely 💯! |

I picked up an MFT IWB holster for my RXM with TLR 7X. It cost me nothing as I used gift cards fromBass Pro (gross!). It comes with tuckable clips and a standard 1.5” belt clip. The pistol is retained with a magnet on the barrel crown. I added some goon tape to the magnet since it is a metal to metal connection to keep from damaging the crown. Holster was $63 at BP. I saw that these were on sale online for $350 a couple of places. I was about to jump, but I wanted to see one in person before ordering. I was able to get one locally for about what it would have cost me to order online, pay shipping, and pay transfer fee. I put 240 rounds through it Friday. I hadn't thought about cleaning, lubing, etc. until I was already at the range, so I shot it as it came from the factory. I fired a mix of different weights and brands, FMJ and defensive rounds. I used the two mags that came with it. I have a couple of Glock brand mags I bought for the P80 I still haven't put together. If I can find them in my project pile, I'll bring them next time. I only had one issue - after about the first 45 rounds (147gr AAC), I had one empty brass get caught. I may have limp wristed it, or it may have been a bad round. Not sure, didn't have any other issues. I'm really happy with it so far. It will be interesting to see what other grips come out for it, aside from just different colors. |
