I have a couple EPS’s that I have been pleased with. My first experience with an Olight was for a light for a fun gun. A small piece of the mount broke off while attaching it so I contacted Olight. Response was basically oh well so I didn’t have high hopes for the osight set but figured I’d give it a shot for the roughly $150 price. I haven’t put thousands of rounds through it on my 43x frame/zafirri ibs slide. I have been been pleasantly impressed on my first couple outings. Time will tell how robust it is. Attached File |

I went to the local shop today and they had an Osight charging model and the glass and dot impressed me. It was crisp and clear to my eyes and I have an astigmatism. They were just a little over priced in the store. The optic body quality felt nice too. They had a few Holosun optics as well. I liked the Osight better. |

I took the Holosun off my backup carry gun and put on an OSight SE. I have three matches I am shooting in September. I'm going to use it for all three and see if it holds up. If it does, great. I might get some more for practice/match guns. It is attractive because it is less than half the price of a EPS MRS and $100 or more cheaper than a 507k. However, I am not going into this expecting it to be as good/durable as those optics. If it turns out to work, fantastic. The above post is not confidence inspiring, but also, anyone can make a lemon. So, I will see how it goes. I can't see using an OSight on a defense gun anytime soon. However, if they work well enough for practice and match guns, I am happy to use them for that. YMMV. Attached File |

I picked up an OSight SE back in late July and I'm impressed with it so far. About 400 rounds on it via my Shield Carry Comp and no complaints. I don't know what it is with this sight, but the circle and dot is a lot clearer on it for me than other pistol sights I've looked through especially Holosun, my eyes have just never gotten along with their sights. It's as clear as or clearer than the Vortex Defender CCW it has tentatively replaced provided it doesn't eat itself. Definitely a nice carry setup though, I wore this thing for an entire week at the hospital and barely remembered I had it. Attached File |

I’ve got mine and I’m waiting on my gun to arrive. I feel like a. Expecting father lol. I looked through an Osight S at the shop and thought the glass was really clear and the dot crisp. Very crisp. No smudge or smearing for my eyes with an astigmatism. |

I ordered an S for my neighbor that just bought a Shield Carry Comp for his wife and the larger than normal locator pins wouldn't allow the sight to sit flush. |

After setting the pin flush and some coaxing, mine mounted flush. But it's on there tight. Attached File I have only minimal rounds through mine currently, but I like it so far. Time will tell whether the optic is a valid option. |

The OSight SE survived match one this month without issue. It was only about 150 rounds, so not anything stressful. It was billed as an "EDC Match." My EDC (I hate that term, I am turning into a Fudd I suppose) is a LTT 92 Compact with a Holosun EPS Carry MRS. So, the SE is basically the same size optic as on my carry gun. It also has the same sight picture. The glass on the OSight actually seems slightly clearer than the EPS Carry, but that might just be because it is cleaner. I have it mounted on a LTT 92 Compact slide, and I put it on a M9A4 Centurion frame for my "test." I wanted the extra capacity for the upcoming matches, so I didn't use a compact frame. Held zero, stayed attached, worked great. So far, no problems. All stages started with drawing from concealment. I was using the ANR Design AIWB holster that Beretta sells on their website. That is the holster I use for carry, and I have been very happy with it. Time will tell if the OSight SE holds up. I hope it does, I like it a lot so far. Attached File Attached File |

Glad to see some of you guys getting some rounds on them and hearing the feedback too. I just picked up my CZ P09 C Nocturne yesterday evening and got a little time behind it with dry firing. I have gone through the reticles and so far I’m leaving it on just the dot. It’s crisp and clear on all the reticles but I really like the dot. One down side for me and my dry firing. My laser cartridge is red. If I don’t have it just in the dot I don’t see where I hit at all. The dot I can but it’s hard. Right now I’m just trying to build up muscle memory to see just the dot without having to move the gun and dot to my eye. I’m really liking the optic and optic in general. Never thought I would like an optic on a handgun. Guess I was wrong. |

I shot match #2 with the Beretta M9A4 Centurion equipped with the OSight SE. About 200 rounds down range, zero maintained, no problems. I also took the gun to the range on Monday and fired about 50 rounds to confirm nothing had changed since match #1. So far, so good. |

I just got home from shooting match #3 with the Beretta/Osight SE combination a couple hours ago. So far the optic has held zero, hasn't had any issues with screws coming loose, the battery compartment not staying on, the glass, etc. I can't say it has a huge round count on it yet. I'd guess between the 3 matches and the 3 range trips prior the matches to confirm zero it is just shy of 1000 rounds on it at this point. I'm shooting another match next weekend. I was planning on shooting something else, but I may go ahead and shoot this gun again. The optic comes in really well thought out packaging with basically every screw one could ever need to mount it. They are even smart enough to provide unequal length screws for mounting on Glocks. The right screw has to be shorter for Glocks with the RMR footprint, and probably some others, so it doesn't interfere with the extractor plunger. At this point I find myself wondering where the corners have been cut. They are offering this thing for less than half of what an EPS Carry from Holosun costs. It is in practice exactly the same as the EPS Carry, but with slightly clearer glass. Something has to have been shorted to be this much less expensive. So far I haven't found out what that is. Maybe this is one of the real deals in the optic world. Maybe it will self destruct when it hits 1000 rounds. We will see. |

DPP offers a RMR to Osight optic mounting adapter plate. I snagged one for free through Vine. Just letting y'all know if you're interested. Interesting that they have one branded specifically for the Osight optics. The UPC gives zero hits on Google or gun.deals.

I don't necessarily think so - I think optic manufacturers have been running with much higher margin on MRDS/pistol optics over the years. The tech is really all the same as what you'd find in a Romeo 5 with less material (I really don't know why everyone was ever acting like an enclosed emitter was some big ground breaking development), and the natural miniaturization of components over the past 5 years made any cost on that front disappear. They are probably shooting for undercutting competition and making up the margin with volume and hoping to become the "hot" recommended option to compound on that. ETA: I have my SE mounted up, very impressed with the build quality, glass, reticle itself, controls, you name it. I see no obvious shortcomings. Comparing to a HE508T and an EOTech EFLX. |

I actually thought the idea of a rechargeable sight was novel and that's why I was interested. Now, I see a lot of people saying they wouldn't want a charging sight. I charged it up fully (which charges the cover and sight). It's now at about 25%, and the cover is still at 100%. I've had it for 8 months or more. I've done a lot of shooting with it. It retains zero and hasn't given me any problems. It has a bit of lens distortion near the top edge. It doesn't affect shooting, as the window is huge, but I notice it, and it bugs me. I've since gotten a Holosun 407, and it has some distortion in the same spot. I don't beat my gear up, but I use it. So far, I don't regret buying it.  I would consider another of their sights if/when I need one. Attached File |

If anyone was wondering about the rmr adapter.      Its a hefty hunk of steel and well made. But currently the only thing rmr i have is a pic rail mount for another red dot i have with an rmr foot print and don't feel like taking the sight off to test the plate. I originally just got it because it $16 and figured why not. Also it doesn't have the rear recoil lugs so it might work with a 407k or 507k. Will be trying that out. |

I have always hesitated on pistol dots due to the starburst of the dots. Found the SE and was AMAZED that there was no burst due to my astigmatism! Had planned to drop it on my 4.25 Prodigy, but I ordered the wrong plate. But was pleasantly surprised that it was a direct fit to my LFA Apollo slide. Gotta wait for my range to open Friday to test it out. |

I have Aimpoints, Eotechs, Holosun, Sigs, etc. as rifle dots and all (with the exception of the Holosun) have a bad burst for me. I figured it was just a way of life for me and my vision. The Osight is crazy clear and crisp. |

I hit the gunshow today and picked up a pair of Osights for $150 each otd. All the commotion made me try them. The SE I installed on my cheap Turkish pistol. I prefer a 5 or 6 moa dot but I shall suffer. The Tisas 1911ds slide cut was super tight with a Holosun but the Olight dropped right in. I was very impressed with the parts and packaging of the Osight to include many mounting screws, replacement battery screws and a tool. It has instructions but who reads that stuff…   I also like the low deck height so irons are cowitnessed.  I bought a RMR patterned one that I will put on a shotgun to see if I can kill it. After typing this I was bored so I dropped the Olight S-C on the Maverick 88. I like the size, big window, same packaging as already described and I prefer circle/dots on shotguns. This gun will fit 10 mini slugs in the tube so I plant to give the sight a workout.

Didn't loosen with the screws the provided for my gun though I added more loctite during install. The flat sides are really nice when wearing IWB. |
