I have my dagger on the way and I'm sure I'm gonna want a new trigger. Is there an issue with the complete kits such as the apex enhancement trigger kit? Should I just replace the shoe? I seen a review on PSA for the timney gen3/4 kit that they had to shave the rail. I would like to avoid barriers when installing the new trigger kit. A better feeling trigger is nice. Id like to lighten up the pull so installing the whole kit is what I wanna do. Any recommendations are appreciated as I've never replaced a trigger
I’ve actually been pretty happy with my Dagger trigger in terms of pull. I did polish up a few things via the ‘25 cent’ trigger job to smooth it out a bit. It could be a little more crisp, but what striker fired trigger couldn’t?
I’m still not a fan of the trigger itself as I just don’t care of hinged triggers in general.
Had one in my dagger Caused the trigger pin to walk a bit
Put OEM PSA back in and no walking
Maybe I got out of spec trigger shoe

No, it was in spec. They changed the design of the PolyDAT shoe to be compatible with the Gen 5 Glock ambi slide release. If you use it on a Gen 1-4, the extra space on the sides of the shoe allows it to wiggle a decent amount and can let the non-ambi slide lock traverse, and the pin with it. IMO they should not advertise these for use in the older gen designs.
Below on the left is an original release Poly DAT shoe, on the right is the new "universal" one. I install a 3D printed spacer on the newer versions to fill that gap back up.

They No make the wider shoe and they swear up and down it works 100% with gen1-5
Sucks as I loved the shoe but not gonna have a pin walk
PSA trigger, while not my favorite style, works great in the dagger

Yep, it's a real shame and frustrating that they say it's fine in older gens. Of course, for their more expensive aluminum shoe DAT triggers, they still make a Gen 1-4 version and Gen 5 version, so they obviously know there's an issue with the "universal" shoe and don't want to harm their more premium products.

Over watches website even lists the polydat to buy for gen 1-4 and gen5
Guy was kind of a prick in followup email so I'll be done with them as clearly they don't know what's what on advertising vs what is sold
