Found a Colt lawman MK3 for ~$650. 4" barrel with a Houge wood grip, with a almost pristine finish.

Good price but Colt was exploring the use of "sintered metallic parts" at the time. IIRC

I have a 4" Lawman .357/.38 spl. Very nice shooter, smooth as silk trigger. Got it for about that price 3 years ago, that's a great price these days.

Love mine.

It's a Trooper without adjustables. I think it's a fair price.

Switch to Pachmeyer grips.

My Trooper has about 50,000 rounds thru it.  Was used to teach a lot of students over the years.  It did get a spa day at Colt when some faults showed up at the 40,000 mark.

Send it.

Yep.  I’d probably pick that up if it was in my neighborhood.

Depending on condition that’s an OK to good price.  Original service or target grips both go for $125 bucks & up (if you’re interested in having a pair).  They’re tough, well-made revolvers with a couple caveats.  I’ve seen very few issues with the sintered metal hammer & trigger.  That said:

-You should not dry fire these, its MkIII brother the Trooper or any of the MkV revolvers. Due to the process required, the firing pin is largely irreplaceable these days best of my knowledge.

-No “trigger work”. The applicable parts are case-hardened so springs only if you must (and check for reliable function!).

Most all modern DA revolvers have pressed in firing pins that require special tooling to replace.
There are still several gunsmiths who still do this for the Colt's.

Just used snap caps when dryfiring the Colt Mark III and later models to protect the firing pin.
