A friend of mine recently shot a gas gun match with stages out to 600. He has video from each stage (from observer) and the match published stage performance. He loaded it into ChatGPT and I was amazed at the accuracy and nuance it picked up on as far as technical guidance. I just practiced my concealed carry draw and reload a few times and loaded it to Gemini. It provided excellent analysis on what I'm doing right and areas for improvement. Honestly it's pretty neat and I know Google/the Chinese are going to be blown away!  |

I have been using AI to work on different loads on my 6.8spc. It has worked up some loads that should do very good, the problem is at the moment our range is closed due to fire danger so i have to wait until it opens. Yes you have check what info it gives you to be sure isn't a over charge when loading powder simply because it can only repeat what info has been given to it. When I asked it about this, it said yes if it's garbage in it will be as we all know, garbage out. It is very easy to talk to and it knows more than most  of us do. It reminded me of different c.o.l.s for the 6.8 that I had learned many years ago but have forgotten in the last ten years. You need to remember that most printed data floating around for the 6.8 was done when the 1:10 twist barrel was still being used so be sure to check the print date of the information to be sure to get the info for the 1:11 barrel.Don't be afraid to ask it anything you want to know including why it was made and what it can and can not do. It is just another tool that can save you a lot of time if you learn to use it. As always be sure to check that the info you get is current and not years old, if your not sure if it is current ask it. |
