I bought a G3c at Academy back in December, but hadn't had a chance to shoot it until today. Academy had it already marked down to a reduced price, plus it was on sale, plus Taurus had a $30 rebate. In total, the gun came out to $197 brand new tax included. I figured I'd give a try and if it was reliable, it would be my car gun (stays in car all the time just in case and not out a lot of money if stolen). I put 250 rounds through it today and not a single problem. At 7 yards, I put one mag into the 1" circle with little effort. at 15 yards, it opened up to about 3", which is more than acceptable for something with such a short sight radius. The grip texture is a bit rough, but it kept the gun from squirming around on recoil. Just an incredible deal and fantastic little shooter. I'm considering adding a full size G3 to the collection. ETA: My apologies...I meant I bought a G3c, not a G2c. |

| The G2C is a great pistol that hits well above its price point. I have one with over 4500 rounds fired since 2018 or so. It has been flawless with every type of ammo I have fed it, except for some Remington exposed lead flat-nosed stuff I tried when I first got it. Great trigger albeit a a bit long to get to the break, but nice and clean thereafter. I put a stainless recoil assembly, firing pin sleeve, and fiber optic sights on it. Put a keep tinkering trigger (no trigger safety) on it also. Now one of my favorite guns to carry at the range where I work. Very accurate and reliable and no great loss if it ever ends up in an evidence locker. Plus it has a visible and tactile loaded chamber indicator. And the restrike feature is very nice as well. Hell of a good gun for the money. My Sigs,CZs etc are jealous of it. Enjoy the gun and feel free to ask me any questions you may have. |

The 3 trigger is better than the 2C, but the 2C trigger ain't bad, just long. Both take SIG P226 mags and MecGar makes a 20 rounder that also fits the Kel-Tec SUB2000 Multi-Mag. The 3s take Glock sights, and the 3 TORO has an optics cut. |

I have a G3c in 9mm that's a newer variant with no manual safety. I've made some changes :). 1) Lakeline LLC stainless steel striker guide. Mainly a reliability upgrade but also slicks up the trigger feel some. 2) Lakeline stainless steel striker spring retaining clip. Purely a reliability upgrade. 3) Olight PL2 Mini Valkyrie with 600 lumens on tap. 4) 3D printed target focus both eyes open iron sight based on the work of Tim Sheehan (RIP) who used to run Goshen Enterprises and made the Hexsite. More on that here: https://www.handgunsmag.com/editorial/accessories_hg_playingtheangles_200807/138822 - what I'm running is a design Tim came up with that he never published, a straight up hexagonal tube. Shooting it feels like running a red dot except there's no battery, glass or wires. And if you do bring it to eye level without proper alignment you can regain your alignment while keeping your eyeballs target focused. That seems more difficult to do with a red dot. 5) Absolutely massive dual gas pedal setup. Fixed, not folding. Homemade. Lol. About the same size and location as the Antimatter Industries Wing. 6) Custom homebrew holster to make all the weirdness work for street carry. You do realize the peace signs are both a horrible pun and cultural camo? Cultural camo means people don't think there's a gun in there. It's also where I keep my piece. :) For some reason our eyeballs can get a solid alignment on a hexagon even when it's blurry (target focus with your eyes). It works. |
