I've wanted a suppressed 22mag pistol for a while now but there aren't many pistols out there threaded and rated for suppressor use.
I saw the WMP SD and ordered it without being able to find any reviews or videos on it. Well my excitement quickly went away after my first few rounds through mine. It blasts my face with gas and unburnt powder and carbon with each shot. Its not just unpleasant like many suppressed 22LR's but actually painful. I bet 1 round without eye pro would cause damage, this thing hurts to shoot.
Tried it with 3 different 22cal suppressors and it is extremely blasty with each one. Not hearing safe and crazy amounts of debris to the face. I will have to try some different brands of ammo to maybe find one that is acceptable. So far CCI is no fun. Maybe try a 9mm suppressor for less blowback? The gun is already huge a bigger suppressor might not be terrible on it.
Mounted a red dot and it shoots nice little groups. Function has been 100% so far also.
It has a little buffer on the barrel to prevent the slide from bottoming out. It came with several extra and the manual recommends checking it every 200rds and replacing when chewed up a little.
I love my 5.7 pistol suppressed, its quiet and pleasant to shoot. This 22mag sucks and is louder, not what I expected.
