i bought a collection of smith and wesson parts and rare grips to include coke grips i found out. i dont deal in this stuff and it was included in a bulk parts buy from out west. ive got them listed online with way too many pics but a buyer claims i need to verify measurements on the grips to verify if they fit a k frame or n frame.

i asked the buyer where to measure and its the inside top of wood grip where theres no actual place to gain a concrete bearing seems like from these grips. i sent the pics he requested over and over again from all angles with 2 different calipers digital and dial types. buyer now wants me to send pics of grips installed on a gun he knows i dont own showing model number after endless back and forth emails.

before i move on and have this happen again my question is this. can i get a measurement from guys in the know here of say the middle of grip screw hole to bottom of frame on inside or how do i sort these without owning any frames? which is k frame and which is n frame?

I've got three N frames and one K frame.  Send your grips to me and I'll see what fits what and label them for you.

That's all l got.

So bump for a better answer.

On the inside of the wood grips, where the medallion is, the K frame will not be centered front to back, one side - I think the heal side, will have less material than the front.

The N frame will be centered.

Hard to see from the poor lighting, sorry.

But left grip is N frame, right is L frame.

Nframe;

Lframe;

Hope this helps.

On the bottom of the grip, the N frame is 2” and the K frame is 1.75”

That’s for square butt revolvers, if you need RB I’ll have to get different revolvers.
