at my local gun range/store used and a bit 'salty", you can tell it had some rust and pitting in it's life and someone tastefully cerakoted it. serial puts it at 1984-85ish, it shoots great and for the $130 they were asking how am I to say no  wish it would have come with the .22lr cylinder also but hey... a deal is a deal for a Ruger Single Six .22

I shot mine today. It was my dad’s. I grew up watching him shoot water moccasins in the 70’s. Mine came from the factory as a 22 mag only. If I looked at it correct mine is a 1967-68 manufactured date range. Attached File Attached File |

I've owned it for well over 20 years. Honestly, I think 22LR is boring in this gun and that cylinder has spend most of it's life well oiled, stored in a pill bottle. But shooting 22Mag in a single action is fun! That cylinder lives on the gun. |

Ruger.com website price is $839 for new Single Six $130 for that one is a steal. I'd probably have a gunsmith shot-blast it / strip it then apply cerakote a la the Wrangler. I'd also get some new grips but if you don't anything that's fine too. |
