I just came into a pro carry II all black with Crimson trace grips... I just went through the pistol and eliminated the striker safety plunger and cut down the other piece to keep it as a spacer... trigger is much cleaner. My question for those of you that have removed the plunger safety is there any reason to order a standard 70 series firing pin or will this one be OK?... through all my online reading, some do and some don't.  thanks...

I kept the original pins on the two I’ve owned. I took both in trades and altered both within the first few hundred rounds fired.
I sold one.
The other has in the neighborhood of 25k rounds since I’ve owned it. I have not found the need to change the FP.
