Quoted: a few answers for people. 1. it was introduced in a specific way for a specific reason. An amendment will be coming. 2. The AP picked up on it sooner than we had hoped, but we will continue to work the bill. Biggest thing right now is educating legislators and getting them on board. 3. There is a long time till the end of session. Carry didn't come in to play until the end of session. 4. Send me the name of the downstate legislators who was talkign to the chicago dem. 5. I am running a private email list for updates. I write them and email them out to give people the latest info that we have or when a change occurs. 6. keep inside details stuff off the public forums. Anti-gunners troll hee and other places like Illinois Carry for information. They are not gun guy and don;t get all the details and little things. asking to many questions or weeing and moaning about this or that only gives them idea and avenues to work against us OPSEC people. We have the difficult task of tryign to comuunicate information with out tipping our hand. Not an easy task for eople on our side who are hungry for information and details. Todd View Quote |

It was moved to the Firearms Sub-committee today. Don't know when it will be called now we might have to refill out witness slips. I think they do this on purpose cause they see our side winning with the slips.

I know my rep Natalie Manley will never go for this. She is just another cog in the democratic machine and as anti gun as they come.

View Quote That is why Witness Slips are great- regardless of the "yes we will take your opinion into consideration" BS her staff will give you, and then ignore what you said, Witness Slips are reported directly during the Bill reading- it is a much more direct way to represent how many constituents across the state are for/against something. ...and it looks pretty good for a bill when it gets 800+ witness slips for it compared to 10 against. |

Agreed. We need to get as many people as possible on board to fill out witness slips. |

Manley is also in my district I emailed her and never heard back, I fill out slips regularly. She is Madigans new puppet I tried to get people to support Ms. Bolton but we see how democrats money and Bloomberg paid for her seat.

Do we know if we can still do slips, or do we wait now that it's in new committee?

Looks like they are done for the day and HB433 was not called.
We will have to file witness slips again, but as of now there is no hearing date. |
