Whats the usual range from the firing line to the targets? Debating on bringing the shotgun... Also, is everyone going to be bringing they're own grill out or what? I dont want to bring a grill if there will be some big ones available to everyone to use. I was planning on pitching a tent..... |
Don't worry, we were all a little scared the first time, but it's not so bad. Just think of it as an initiation.

Typically, the target vehicle will be about 100-125 yards out for safety reasons. As far as grill, I really have no idea as to what is available camping, as I've never camped out there. But judging from what others have said, it's primitive camping, so you have only what you bring. |

Well, I have confirmed I will not be able to make the shoot due to I will be in the land of Mexico. This sucks. I tried to get our 10 year anniversary moved but the courts just wouldn't do it. Something about a law from 1805 that says "A person can not put their .50 cal before their wife." I was going to petition the 9 District Supreme Court but then realized that was the pansies from California who banned the .50. So, please take lots of pics and video. Bob--Shoot a mag for me and don't take your finger off the trigger. |
Damn, Chad, sorry to hear that. I can't believe your wife would rather spend your anniversary in Mexico rather than at the range. Sheeesh, that's a little strange, where's her priorities?

Guys, still going to be at Fort Polk for a JRTC rotation then. Sorry. But if anyone from the Fort Campbell area sees a can of that British SS109 5.56mm up there in the store for a reasonable price, I'm in the market. Diesel, you can build an AR in a night from a pile of parts if you're motivated and can do your own barrel work. I can do a full lower in about an hour even if I'm watching TV. |
| I'm looking forward to meeting you guys. I don't post as much as the Bandit, but I read a lot. We'll have a toolbox full of small parts and maybe some mags and other odds and ends. Yes, we will deliver orders if you get them to us by the previous THURSDAY so we have time to get things built if needed, etc. We plan on bring a few of our toys, so we'll see you on the 21st!! |
Double-crapola, I think I might be on the no-show list.  I had some doozy expenses hit me this month and today I had to drop another $350 on a new starter for the truck, contacts for the wife, a new well-pump and the day's not done. I have to buy a new dryer for the wife this weekend, which was my KCR fund. Ugh. Unless I can find a free way down there, and I doubt my sexy legs will get me and a truckload of rifles farther than the driveway, I'll be staying home. Damnit. |
| I am thinking the same as well. I wont be able to come down due to no funds from not working for 3 months, I have bills to pay. I also have a good chance at getting a Class 3 item, but I wont say no more on that till I check it out, you may see some of my guns forsale on the really cheap side. |
I was looking forward to it, had mags loaded and gear ready to go but I'm serious when I tell ya I'd be hitching my way down there. I had to walk around the house today wondering "I wonder if I could ebay this" to cover all the crap I have to buy right now. Ugh.

Id like to see a winter one too. Or at least a cool fall one. I forgot to add: I can bring one small 12-14" round propane grill and a two burner coleman stove. |
I am going to talk to Kenny today around lunch. I will find out a procedure. He will probably tell you to go on back and check him in the morning. I'll let you know. I am camping Saturday night. JMD, yes, bring the grill. All I have is a huge yard grill (not going to bring) and some cook stoves. Brian666999, Can your girlfriend still come to the shoot?  We will catch you next time but I think we need a better plan on the after dinner party for next time.Swingset, Need a loan?  |

A better dinner plan would be helpful. She wouldnt go there unless I was there, thats her only interest with guns is watchin me enjoyin them She doesnt dislike them at all, but she isnt all for them. She basicly doesnt have a problem with them at all but knows its my hobby and I enjoy it. She likes coming to hang out with all of us, she has fun with that. She was kinda dissappointed when I said we prolly wouldnt be able to go and even said she would pay for gas. I told her I didnt want her to use her money for my hobby, she understood. |
