I hear Acetylene works quite well, that's what I hear anyway ETA: not the entire cylinder |

Maybe Erik can chime in and possibley offer us a addy to ship stuff to? A case of tannerite was great, but I'm gonna have 2 wall tents and a ton of other crap to haul up this time, won't have room for it.
102 days! |
Umm, so you can seem the charges in the dark. This isn't a damn trap/skeet/whatever range so there aren't any lights.
I know of at least on 20mm rifle, several M2 .50s, don't know of any miniguns. There might possibly be a coll new product demo, but I won't know for sure for a while. Also working on some other cool DDs. There are three vendors that are signed up that will be bringing a crap load of different MG's to rent. |

We really don't have any way to handle having stuff shipped in - it would be too much of a logistic headache, especially our first year. You could ship stuff to your name, General Delivery, for pickup at the Enterprise post office. I'm not quite sure how that works though (or if you can ship tannerite by USPS). Another thought is ship it via UPS and have them hold it at the UPS "terminal" (I use that term loosely) in Enterprise. Be aware, they have very limited hours (11:30-13:00 M-F). |

What, we can't just ship stuff to your place? |
Sure, you can ship stuff there. Just don't plan on seeing it again. |

Any word on a subgun match?
(I was saving this question so I could bump this thread when it was somewhere on p2). |
At this point, we aren't going to do it. We don't have the equipment (steel targets, etc.) or the people to put it on. Also, we're not 100% sure we'd have a pistol bay complete enough to house it. It's definately on the list of things we want to do, but it'll probably have to wait until next year. We want to focus on the main shoot/line this year and work on adding additional things next year. Also, the point of this shoot is to offer something you can't get elsewhere in the NW. There are several good subgun matches available now (ARPC and IAWCA), so that's not quite as important to us until we get the main shoot worked out. |
We have two more gun rental vendors signed up, for a total of five.
We have 1/3 of the firing line spaces sold and verbal/email commitments for another 1/3. If you think you are going to come to the shoot and you want a firing line space, I encourage you to register as soon as you can. Our advertisement just came out in Small Arms Review, so I anticipate the line spots to start going more quickly. Eric |
Ok, I submit. Peta, can you tack this. Tired of bumping it...
ETA: Any new, uh, news about the shoot? |
Waaaaaaaaaaaa You'd bitch if you were hung with a new rope too |
Oh yea...look at all the new posts! (crickets)
Just remember I'm always right |
Yup, sorry. Even though the guy who started the thread asked for it to be tacked, I should have done as you asked. |
Maybe if you would have helped to bump it once in a while... |

ANy updates on vendors?
What about out of state members? Have we made it clear there will be an ARFCOM area on the line? I want a Canon |
Currently, there are 5 vendors with rental guns signed up to be there. Still working on an ammo vendor and others.
There are people from out of state signed up, though I don't know if they are arfcom members. |

I just talked to James this afternoon (Surplus Ammo Guy)
He is THINKING of showing up, but doesn't know if he can get Workers that weekend. Hope he does. It doesn't do much good to bring all my guns, if we don't have AMMO! Pat |
Pat, have him email me. If he can't get workers, I might be able to help him out. Eric |
I've got an old propane tank 2/3 full that I'll donate to the cause...
Any new updates? Vendors? Hookers? Blow? Free Whikie? |
Nothing new, yet. Still working on some things. Working on a couple of big name vendors..... |
I just got off the phone with James from Surplus Ammo and he's committed to being at the shoot.
so should we all wear those "Hi my name is" stickers with our screen names on them?
Naw, just stop by the ARFcom line spaces. We have 30 feet of space reserved. I think Peta is getting a banner, or something... |
I still think it would be cool to have a name to go with the face. Would just make things easier I think.
Yeah, I see your point. Hell, I usually only remember screen names, if at all. I have a real problem with names... |
For what it's worth, I emailed the club that's hosting the shoot. I wanted to know if they have benches and/or overhead cover on the line. The reply was no to both. I guess I'll be bringing my own table and maybe a canopy cover if Costco ever gets them in stock again.
Does anyone know what to expect for the weather for the shoot? Just trying to plan my trip. |
Anywhere from 85 degrees and sunny to 28 degrees and snowing. Or all the above. Elevation at the range is about 4200' The average high for June is 76 and the average low is 42. Looking at weather data for the last four years, the highest high temp on 6/17 was 88 and the lowest high temp was 54. Dry some years, rain others. |
And hows the spots filling up? Any updates on the vendors? Still looking for some help a day before hand for set up? |
Just over half of the line spaces are sold out. Still working on two well known vendors, but probably won't know for sure until just before the shoot. One that I had been talking to, Noveske Rifleworks, won't be coming due to other commitments that are higher priority. We're always looking for setup help. Let me know if you want to help out. |
I might be able to get out of town on Thursday, but I don't know. If I can get there early, I'll be willing to help out. |
What do you want? A dress code? |
Well, If me and 5 friends drove 8 hours and it was only me and 5 friends, I'd be pretty pissed...
The lack of info is leading me to believe that this is the case. |
Reading is fundamental, he said just over half of the line spaces are sold, so that's 25-26, so unless you and your five friends are taking that much space, I'd expect a larger crowd than just the wessiders |
Could also mean 25-26 people....vs the 60-100 we have at our own shoots.
Don't insult me with Reading is fundamental BS. This is a major investment for some people. I'm looking at $100's in gas, taking a day off of work, $100's in ammo, food, etc. The least I can get is a good status report. |
Get the sand out of your mangina and lighten up, sheesh I'm right there with you on the $ spent, if not more. I've already got $200 tied up into it for all of us with the camping spaces and firing line spaces. It's called faith! I'm sure it will be a kick ass time. There are probably alot of folks who are on the fence about going or not due to it being a new shoot, but if you don't go, how will it ever be a success and be offered again next year? |
