So now we have another municipality that is violating both state preemption law as well as a legal opinion written by Henry McMaster when he was state attorney general.

Screenshot from WISTV news piece that aired today. Presumably this image was taken at Doko Meadows Park

I'm requesting that any Blythewood ARFCOM member verify this signage and photograph same.

That sign is on the playground area in the park.

There were some (insert offensive description here) causing issues recently.  Setting off fireworks in crowds, shooting at each other with water guns that looked like firearms, and generally acting inappropriately.  I'm not surprised that the sign is there.  I don't know how long it's been there because I rarely go to the park and never to the playground area.

The signage looks to be less than the 40" minimum for signage on a door so it doesn't met the legal standard anyway.

Some yahoo in the county gov't tried to do that with our outdoor parks in Charleston with the giant signs and they were all removed in short order.
