Tennessee, we are this close to restoring a crucial piece of our Second Amendment rights — but insiders are revealing what's really holding the Hearing Protection Act back. -- Two Republican Congressmen — including one right here in Tennessee — are reportedly stalling the bill. | I called Kustoff's office and spoke to a nice young lady who gaslighted me that he's really on our side and that this is a small "positive" and if they don't do this small step then the senate and president will oppose it and the legislation won't make it through the senate and president. I told her he can gaslight us all he wants. He can vote for whoever pays them the most money, but that won't buy votes. |

I don't doubt handyandy's account of his call. I also called Kustoff's office and was assured by a young man that Kustoff fully supported the bill as originally submitted, to remove these items ftom the NFA, and that any report to the contrary was false and malicious. My call was to the DC office on Monday 5/12/25 at 1:15 pm, Memphis time. I couldn't get through on the 901 area code number. Edit to add: I also emailed via Kustoff's online portal, and have not received a response. |
