I have a company event I have to go to outside of Portland in the Columbia River gorge on Thursday night. I’m going to ride my motorcycle there, and don’t have to be back home until Sunday night, it's rare that I get time alone like this, what should I spend the time I have doing? Thinking of spending at least a day riding through Ranier Park, but not set in stone, should I head for the coast? Take a fishing charter? Do some sight seeing? Hookers and blow? I've seen a lot of Oregon but very little of Washington state - what do the locals recommended?

If the weather is good,  cross the Astoria bridge and take a charter out of Ilwaco.  Take a nice ride up Long Beach.

Multnomah falls (reservation might be required for the parking lot), Cape Horn in Washington. Crown point in Oregon. There is a little drive thru (Eastwind drive in) in Cascade locks that has decent swirl soft serve ice cream, has an underlying immigrant came to America and runs a successful business/roof Korean vibe to me.  Cedar creek grist mill if you are mechanically inclined, and old water powered grain mill you can see run. It drove my wife and kids nuts but I was in heaven. You could head into Oregon and check out evergreen aviation museum. I haven’t been there in probably 15 years but he had a decent NFA collection on display at one point.

I was going to suggest this.

Something else is the Maryhill Museum about an hour or two East of Portland. Lots of odd stuff but the best thing is the full-scale recreation of Stone Henge. This and Hwy 14  are great.

If you can make it to  Copalis  Beach, the Northwest Norton Owners are gathering for a few days.
