The show is decent.  I don't need a thing, but wandered it anyway.  Interesting to see SAW still there, but their display is about 2/3rds of what it was.  Gun Zone also had a smaller display than I remember.  A new vendor I didn't recognize was at the far right (south) selling tons of mags.  Rifle mags were well marked, pistol mags not so much.  I guess the glut of H&K-91 mags has finally dried up.  They've gone from $5/each to $20/each.  Parking was pretty easy.  I quickly found a spot two rows from the front.  I skipped the last Big Town, so maybe missed the price increase for entry.  $9 now.

That is all.

Thanks to all who came out.  The fellas we were sitting with @ the Railhead turned out to be an FFL & his father.  I drive past that gun store all the time, never knew it was a gun store.  If you want to poke through Gander Mountain's guns they didn't sell, https://overstocksandbargains.com/

Picked up:

$5/ea:  2x scopes, a bag of Hesse AK followers & floorplates, a bag of UTG short rail covers, a Fobus 1911 holster, and a broad twin-snap made in USA sling.

$10 - QD sling swivel

$30 - used DPMS 16" AR bbl

Not as good as last week, when I picked up a German-made wood laminate AR thumbhole stock that retails for $600 - used for $60.

Fort Worth (non-Premier)

Fort Worth won't be quite as good as the show weekend before last.  Not a bad show by any means, however.

Heim's ok.  They don't know what lean means and they've got an invalid 30.07 sign.

Show just a bit smaller than the Premier show a fortnight ago.  Picked up a $35 Anderson LPK with trigger, some $25 metal BUIS, saw an Anderson lower for $35 or $40, can't remember.   $360 10x25mm Norma HiPoint carbine.

Lego's? The military Lego guy was there? If it's Bob Mellichamp, that guy probably knows more about the history of the worlds 37mm guns and ammunition than anyone on the planet. He has written two gigantic volumes on them, and is working on the third anf final volume...if he ever finishes it. That is the one I am waiting for since it covers the 30's and beyond. He also has some really great ordnance out when he gets it. Guy will talk your ear off, but fascinating guy.

And my son loves his Lego dudes....

More interesting than the jerky, crappy candle, and tacky photo frame people...

No, the Lego gunstock guy was there.  I build plastic brick AR buttstock kits.  I've seen the mini-fig guy @ the Fort Worth show, didn't know he was an expert on the 37mm.

21-22 July

Allen Event Center (Premier show)
Think it's been awhile since they had a show there.  Nice shopping center, Rudy's BBQ is right there.  I won't be able to make it, unfortunately.

If y'all want to meet at Rudy's or someplace else, post up & I'll update the OP.

I will attempt to make this one. It will be Sunday if I can.
It can be hit or miss but is generally good for holsters, mag carriers, and assorted other trinkets. If the hockey arena is still up they cover it with plywood and set the tables up on that. It's usually nice and cool in there.
