Set up this afternoon at Ft Worth gun show.
The isles are wider as per county regs and I think masks are required this weekend (with the usual exceptions) Show hours are longer Saturday is 9-6 and Sunday is 9-5 |

WOW I went at about 3 this afternoon, waited in line less than 5 min. It was not packed but there were a lot of buyers. I sold both guns I brought and there appeared to be a lot of people waiting on NICS checks

Thanks for the heads up on the lack of line.
I went. Some decent deals to be had if you looked around. Also a lot of really overpriced items as to be expected. Ammo was crazy expensive. 9mm 50 round boxes for $30. Lol. I didn’t see anyone buying it though. |

Is there any real reason to go? From what I've seen/heard new stock is going for list+. Sounds like I could drive down the street and throw a $20 out the window and get as much enjoyment. The more worrisome part is this is going to last a while.

I still like to go for the following reasons: The stuff i am usually looking for has not been made in years, and hopefully someone has decided to trade off some of their old junk. I have some of the same old junk that hopefully someone will think is treasure and willing to pay for it. A chance to do some trade some of my junk for someone else's junk that i haven't had a chance to play with yet. If i was not a knife sharpener on my own, i'd go to the shows to get someone to sharpen my knives......or at least i hope many people do when i am set up at gunshows! It is a chance to hang out with other fellow gun nuts and not be outside at the range when it is too dang hot. i'm getting some of my junk ready for Longview for the weekend of the 18th and 19th. If you come i'll be the one with the big Baldor buffer sharpening knives and trying to get rid of various gun junk! For lunch, i'd recommend going to my sister in law's restaurant, The Butcher Shop, which is a mile or so from the venue. Not BBQ, but good burgers and a great bakery. |
