I have 2 tables at the Abilene show on the 24th and 25th. (one will be mine and the other a buddy) I will have a RPD if anyone wants to look at one as well as a James River Armory BM59.
I'm trying to sell some of my personal items so might be willing to cut some deals, like just above wholesale price. I'm a dealer so there will be a 4473 that has to be filled out. Stop by and say hi... Green table coverings against a wall, Zi-Tekx ARmsco will be on my business cards... Stac |

Cool! You ever make it to the Fort Worth shows?

Just getting back into doing shows. Been away from them for about 10 years or so. Did do a few of the Ft Worth shows years ago but don't have any plans to do any there just yet.

FYI for those going to Dallas Market Hall this weekend.
There will be major parking problems due to events at the Dallas Market Center across the street from Market Hall. Every parking spot in the North lot was taken this afternoon. For Saturday/Sunday, DACA is going to try to keep attendees for the other event out of the MH lot. Yeah right. |

Park @ the Anatole, have an ice cream, then stroll across? Planning on bringing the boy Sunday. FadedSun is cracking the maintenance whip - the tank must be fed.
Gonna try to shoot a steel armor plate tomorrow afternoon. Have M1A, SA battle pack ammo, and 1 budget steel plate they claimed was Level 3. We'll see. |

Guy there had some real nice US stuff, one 3 digit RIA 03 (1918 re-barrel IIRC) which was REALLY nice for $875, which I thought was a good price for it... There is always some really good stuff if you look, are willing to dig, and don't arrive with an extremely narrow scope... |

Boys, I have been going to shows at Market Hall since the early 80's. In all that time I have NEVER seen anything to compare today's show too. There were more knife dealers and blade guys there than gun dealers. A large collection of junk jewelry and coin dealers but a few nice dealers of leather holsters. There were three rows of tables in the CENTER of the hall on the east (?) end empty. Nothing in the North hall. You couldn't compare shop because there weren't enough guns to look at. I was looking for an S&W ar15-22 but saw only one dealer with three on his table. His prices were too high for me at this time. Third Gen S&W pistols were outrageous, the few I saw. I saw a factory Ruger 10/22 in an M1 carbine stock I should have bought but it had a freakin rail on top. Just ruined the look of the gun.
I did run into a buddy who was culling his collection of high end guns (FUDD guns but collectibles) that was selling stuff hand over fist because he was selling them at just above fire sale prices. He was about the only person I talked to moving anything. Just an observation, I saw lots of females of all ethnicities looking at and buying handguns. Most had a male with them but the few that didn't the dealers were shooting straight with them and not pushing a sale. I also saw lots of young, affluent black and Hispanic males looking at AR's, AK's and shotguns. Those on AR15.com may not be the only ones "woke" these days. The market is saturated these days. It may be time for the whole gun show community to back up and let things chill out a bit. YMMV. |

I got there at noon and the lot was full but there was still parking in and around the garage, mostly on the second deck.

Dallas show on Saturday.
The main hall was probably 20% empty as in no tables or empty ones. Knives, knives, knives. One very long-time vendor said that this one will likely be his last as he just doesn't make any money. Worst show I've ever seen in Market Hall in the past 20 years. |

From what I understand talking to vendors the last couple of Market Hall shows, DACA's long time show promoter moved away, and the show committee hasn't been able to replace him. They're in a vicious cycle of decline, and they're effectively competing w/ Premier, a commercial entity that has been running shows for 20 years or more.
I'm not going to make it today. Was watching FadedSun and M35Ben work on a BRDM yesterday, and watching ARFCOMers work tuckers you out! |

Which Lewisville show is it? Is this the one that frisks you before you go in to make sure you're not carrying?

Mesquite Rodeo Palestine I will probably not be able to make it to the Rodeo show. It's a good small show, plenty of free parking. Soulman's BBQ is just up the road. |
