On Saturday September 26, 2026 we will be hosting the 12th annual GA HTF MOA Challenge. What.... Its a free competition in which you shoot prone at 100 yards (50 yard option for 22LR). Five - 5 shot groups on a single target. 30 min time limit. There will be 6 relays. You can shoot multiple guns or re-shoot if we have time and space. Rear squeeze bag is limited to 96cubic inches. BYO eyes / ears / lunch / drinks. There will be a range officer running the relays. There will be an official scorer. Categories are Gas Gun / Bolt Gun / 22 LR. Suppressors are encouraged. Who... Members of the HTF / Arf community When... Saturday, 9/26/2026 0830 - 1600. Safety briefing at 0830. Range hot at 0900. Range cold by 1500. Prizes by 1600. Where... Near Crawfordville GA. GPS coords sent via arf coms approximately 10 days ahead of time. Why... To see what you and your gear can do. The goal is scoring a target that averages less than 1 MOA. Other details... 24 firing lanes for 100 yards and ~4 for the 50 yard 22LR option. One sighter target and 2 official targets per lane, per relay. Shooting mats are too be shared as we want the downtime between relays to be minimal. Targets for scoring are to be turned in after each round. You should collect your targets after scored. Top 10 will be held until awards, and then released. We will break for lunch, but it is byo. Range hot / range cold. There will be ~ 2 mins at the start and end of range cold for handling of weapons at the line. When people are downrange changing targets, there will be no handling or gun glassing allowed. RO will be looking for chamber flags / open bolts / mags out before anyone goes downrange. Hosted and staffed by the GA HTF. This is the official sign up thread. Also Q&A. |

If you're planning to be there Friday and help with setup, we will have space for camping, port a johns, etc. Depending on how quickly setup goes there is the potential for open range time Friday afternoon after staff has done their courses of fire for the event. Saturday will be dedicated to the event until it's over then we'll be breaking down everything that evening and then campfire time afterwards. This is likely to be a record breaking year for attendees so Saturday is going to be busy. Sunday is typically "get up and move out" for everyone by 10am. |

A lot of this is straight out of my checking account, but I am choosing to support the companies that have supported MOA. Vortex has sponsored in the past. I bought this scope (no coupon). I won a Brownell's Gift card - trigger Zermatt has sponsored - I bought the action (no coupon) MDT has sponsored. I won a magazine for short action last year, so now I have to build a whole new rifle  . I won a chassis a few years ago from them. I bought a MDT chassis (not pictured) for this build. Krieger has sponsored this event. I won a barrel. I haven't seen it yet, but soon! I need a bipod, so Atlas (who has sponsored every year) will be getting another sale this week. 2027 will probably be another gas gun build. I haven't done that in a few years. The magical LaRue Tactical upper has been shot out, so now it shoots as good as many other companies when they are new. |

Roster updated. If I missed you... lmk If anyone wants to bring stuff for a sale and swap table, we can set up near the scoring table. I'm not going to babysit anything, but there will be heavy foot traffic there during the event. Probably a good idea to have detailed tags affixed to each item, as I am not chasing down and\y post it notes blowing into the pond. lol |

Unfortunately I have a face full of stitches and a skin graft on the bridge of my nose thanks to skin cancer with five more surgeries planned between now (two in Sept.) and Dec 1st. I'm fucked... maybe next year. |
