The Lobby Day thread brought back some fine memories. What if 50,000 gun owners assembled enmass before dawn at Lexington Battle Green with flags and caps and morale patches which read: COME AND TAKE THEM. It probably shouldn't be an armed protest. Just plain-clothed citizens calling attention to the actual meaning of the Second Amendment. MA is it's own animal, and has its own sensibilities. MA is a million miles away from VA inre: the perception of their 2A rights, and I would say that at the local level an armed assembly would be counterproductive. YMMV. I don't expect that the gesture would do anything to budge the politics in MA. It would be more about giving gun owners in MA an opportunity to stand up and be counted. Empowering them, fortifying their sense of duty and of individual participation, giving them a taste of their own numbers and an opportunity to establish a collective sense of resolve.
