Washed my AZ HTF shirt last night.... shrunk up pretty good.  Also, I would suggest not using lots of heat as the logos are now a little crispy and stiff. I'm sure they'll work themselves out and loosen up, but I learned the valuable lesson; let your wife know when you don't want your clothes heat nuked!  Good thing she's cute. I normally wear L shirts but ordered an XL this time because I definitely wanted to CCW in this shirt and didn't want it getting too short. Turns out, it was a good thing I did, because if it would've shrunk any more I'd probably print pretty good. Overall I do like the shirt, but I might suggest ordering a size up.

Did a "soak test" with the HTF shirt today. Yep, it soaks up sweat just like my other shirts! Not sure how long that artwork transfer is gonna last, though. These are stills from some video that we took today while out training. They aren't high-def quality, but you get the idea.
Engaging a target as I sliced the pie while entering "Ambush Alley". 
Shooting through some brush into a target - we created some pretty gnarly keyhole entries while doing this.

| Haha - yeah it's not like that everytime, I just singled out those pics from the video 'cause I think it looks cool. It's mostly due to the fact that I use a compensator and not a flash hider. But if you think the flash is crazy, you oughta hear the thing! Everyone I've ever shot with can't help but say something about it eventually. |

| It's a CAV-Comp, and it's the loudest most obnoxious comp I have ever run. But the rifle stays level, and I mean perfectly flat when you are shooting. The only other comp I've run that made most men cry was an AK-74 comp I used to run on a different AR. |

I was reading another thread, and it confirmed (from site staff) that they are iron on. They actually are called something like "thermal pigment transfer", but it's essentially the same thing. I know there's an ARFcommer that does silkscreening, and he does a good job. Made me shirts for my business at a very good price. Silk screen and iron on are totally different. I wouldn't bet on these heat transfer shirts lasting very long. No offense to the site, but it's just not a lasting method. I have 10 year old silk-screened shirts that still look pretty good. I have shirts less than a year old from the thermal method and they look like crap. |

I washed mine for the first time. I don't think this shirt is gonna last long. I'd like the HTF to make our own set of shirts. The shirt guy that I use for all of my business apparel could do screen printing, digital printing, even emroidery for less than what I paid for my ARFCOM shirt. WIll ARFCOM get mad? I don't know. But what say you HTF? Wanna make our own shirts?

I'd be in for something silk screened, but the heat transfer thing isn't for me. ETA: Heat transfer works pretty well for lettering, but large "patches" like on these shirts are too much I think. Too thick over too large an area. |

We could use the same design or make a new one. Just checked, would be less than what we are paying right now. Could digital print but have limited color shirts, could screen print and have whatever color shirt but would need a larger order. |

I posted this in the main Custom T-Shirt thread. At this time we're suspending the sale of the custom t-shirts, including the hometown shirts. We will have them back up for ordering in roughly a month, but at that time all the designs will be done via DTG printing. This will allow us to continue to offer full color custom shirts, yet move away from heat based ink solutions. In short, the shirt designs will be screen print quality (without any strange feel), be much larger than what the previous limits were, and remove a lot of our design restrictions. Our plan is to continue to offer (and grow) the selection of designs for customizing shirts to your liking. Many of the existing designs will be increased in size and we'll take photos of physical shirts with designs on them to better display the finished products. I apologize for the quality not living up to everyone's expectations, but I hope to meet or exceed them with this change. Projects which are underway to create a design will continue, but will not be available for ordering. I hope you'll be patient with us as we make these changes. So far our samples are a huge improvement over the heat transfer process, and this change will have a lot of benefits over design size and limitations. We've also had color limited traditional screen prints done to compare and the DTG shirts are as high a quality but much more rich in colors. I hope you guys understand the move and why we're suspending instead of allowing more to be sold. |

Having been in the t-shirt design/producing business off-and-on since '72, it is often a tough go. Pleasing the customer quality & price wise is hard. The gold standard that is often used is the Harley-Davidson T-Shirts. Very intricate designs, hundreds of different designs, super quality shirts/printing, great multiple color separations, semi-fair (Harley Tax in full force) pricing, makes them great shirts. I have some that are 30+ years old and still wearable. It works for Harley as they count on staggering numbers of units produced and then distributed to a huge number of sales outlets. I can't name anyone but H-D comes close to those metrics. The T-shirts I designed for a another gun board (that favors an Israeli 9mm weapon) found that too many members wanted too much personalization. Pocket T, different shirt colors, big & tall sizes, many personal changes to the design, and on and on. A major PITA. Quality will trump the lack of infinite customization. |

These are not transfered ink of any kind. We're using the same base TShirts, but new ink and a new system for perfect shirts. Since the previous incarnation of this project did not live up to expectations, order 1 shirt and if you don't like it, we'll refund it and I'll extend your membership. I'm sure you'll notice the difference as soon as you get it. We do not wash the shirts though, so make sure to wash it to get the pretreatment out. Waiting on report from rizzo if he buys one I forget, but didn't you guys switch out to a heavyweight 100% cotton shirt now? The previous 50/50 ones are the ones I'd like to avoid. ie: I'd like to be able to get Gildan Ultra Cotton 6.1oz or Hanes Beefy-T 6.1oz shirts. Something that wears well and I don't mind paying an extra buck or two to cover the increase in cost of the underlying shirt. |

I bought a few of the old shirts when they first came out and have worn the crap out of them and had no problems with the print yet. I suppose I can get a couple of the new ones though in case the tinfoilers are right and SHTF. |

Ok slanky, yer the offer taker on this ride. The old shirts weren't crap, but they weren't what they should have been. These are now pure inks and breathe better, look sharper, and have much larger prints. |

| I have a couple of the previous 50/50 shirts that I'll compare the new one to when it arrives and will post some pics. Is the shirt the same one as used when the first HTF shirts became available? I seem to recall that switch to 100% cotton was made for the first run of HTF shirts, but I could be wrong. If so, I had none of the first run of those to compare this one to, so I'll only be able to directly compare to the previous "build your own" shirts that were on the 50/50 t-shirts. Someone with one of the first run AZHTF shirts might want to get one of the new ones to compare as well. |
