Hello. It is currently LSR season in the NH State House. What that means is that we have Legislative Services Requests (LSRs) that are basically requests to have bills drafted. These LSRs will turn into bills once the Office of Legislative Services finishes drafting them. These LSRs have LSR Numbers, but these are different from the Bill Numbers they'll get once they become bills (such as HB1234). Right now, we cannot see the text of these LSRs. We can, however, see the titles. Below are some firearm related bills. NOTE: If the title of the bill is vague, don't ASSUME the worst. As an update, the bills have started to populate along with the LSR listings. https://gc.nh.gov/lsr_search/LSR_Results.aspx Some non 2A related ones, is a goober trying to bring inspections back, an online age verification scheme similar to TX, and a bottle tax bill. |

HB1046 with a hearing on the 14th is a bill to watch. Legalizes carrying firearms on a snowmobile. OK, sure. Here is the problem with the bill. Language in the bill: For the purposes of this section, "unloaded" shall mean that the firearm is not loaded as defined in RSA 207:1, XIV-a. A firearm shall not be considered to be loaded merely because a magazine, tube, or other ammunition storage device attached to the firearm contains ammunition, so long as no round is chambered. The referenced RSA: XIV-a. Loaded: A round or projectile in the chamber fully dischargeable by pulling the trigger. These dorks are trying to change the definition of loaded. |

With the safety on a firearm is no longer able to be discharged just with a trigger pull and is therefore "unloaded". |
