Engineering. I had a lady tell me today that traffic is way worse now than pre covid ever was. Everybody is super friendly here though.

She’s not wrong. Most who come to this area feel like it’s a big improvement over what they came from, kindness included. I’d say it’s gotten noticeably ruder (especially on the roads) in the last 7 years though.

I weep for how this area was 40 years ago as I remember it, there’s no going back.

Yep, it's not what it was even a few years ago.

Still wouldn't live anywhere else.

Welcome, OP!

I’m sure you’re a good guy and all, and if it was just you and a few buddies, nobody here would have a problem with it. However, it seems like half of Spokane does the same thing. Sometimes 50% of the vehicles I see at our Costco and restaurants and on our roads, have Washington plates. We have enough congestion and issues over here without bringing in tons of extra people every single day. And to say nothing of what I see out in our national forest and campgrounds and state parks. Again, mostly Washington plates.

Why do they go to Costco in CDA? I heard groceries have no sales tax in WA?

I have no idea, just sayin what I am seeing. Maybe getting stuff other than food so lower sales tax? Maybe they feel like it’s safer/cleaner?
