I had to renew my CHCL this weekend and I thought one of the questions that the state asked was very interesting.

"Do you swear allegiance to the Constituion of the United States and to the state of Arkansas?"

I found it intersting that it was worded and swearing to the Constitution itself and not to the United States of America.

I don't remember this being on there last time, did I just forget?

I cannot recall.
Interesting, it kinda stands out, but since the Oath of Enlistment requires swearing to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution, it would not have raised my eyebrow during my most recent renewal.
