If you haven't been hiding under a rock then you have heard that the CMP will soon be selling surplus M14 rifles. Do we think these are going to be considered OK under PICA? I don't see why not since they are fine with M1As and I haven't ordered a Garand in ages but I think they still can come straight to your door in Illinois, maybe possible with these as well? |

I would think the flash hider and bayonet lug would make them prohibited under P.I.C.A. If they ship with one or two 20 round magazines, that could also make them prohibited. Whether or not a firearm that left the factory as a select fire weapon is another questionable characteristic that would probably nix ownership in Illinois. Many of us would like to own a piece of history, but ownership in Illinois is doubtful. |

Well, the flash hider slipped my mind, easy enough to take that off and ship with no mags (or CMI 10 rounders) but I kind of doubt they will do that. Real shame, I'll just add it to the massive pile of things that pile of shit law has stopped me from enjoying since being enacted. |
