I've lived in Tucson since 1968 and it definitely changed for the worse. Back in the 70's to the late 80's it was a blast. We would cruise Speedway every fri/sat night then head out to the illegals drags on dawn or rita rd. When I got of the Navy and came back the change was shocking. The Grihalva/Pastor mafia had fully taken control of the city and Pima county. The legions of liberal lunatics flocked in and were welcomed with open arms. The crime, homelessness and drugs have destroyed many of the historic neighborhoods. The current mayor is a complete idiot and a racist as is the entire city council. And these morons will vote en mas for the spawn of Satan's daughter because of the grihalva name and the letter d. I'm working on selling my house (paid off 2 yrs ago) and moving to Sierra Vista or Benson. Tucson is a lost cause, only reasons I will be back is the VA hospital and to visit family. There is no good reason to live in Tucson unless you are one of "them". These retards still have harris/ waltz signs in their yards

We would cruise from wilmot to tucson Blvd 3 or 4 times, then park next to the jack in the box (all the Mopar folks) while watching the action. Around midnight we would head to dawn rd and drag race all the cars lined up. I had a white 70 dodge super bee w/ 440 6 pack, 4 speed and it was insane! Later after my Navy days I was out there in my 340 'cuda. Sheriff would show up around 2am and we would go busting through the desert to avoid impound. The advent of the rice burners and Clarence Dupnik and his cronies on the city council killed it. But what some great memories! |

Yes, Wilmot was our turn around road and we spent a lot time in the Jack in the Box parking lot! We probably only cruise Speedway from '84 to '90. I had a '69 442 and a '76 Torino. But, sometimes were we in a '76 Camaro, a built '75 Blazer, and a early '70s Thunderbird with a 429 in it. We actually only went out to Rita road once. There were so many fast vehicles, so many people drinking and doing drugs and driving like idiots that we left. I miss the good ole cruising days. |
| About that time frame I was out at the illegals in my 87 Shelby GLHS. I was a chrysler master tech, certified Shelby tech so I had access to all sorts of stuff that regular folks couldn't get. I had a 300 hp Super 60 kit and some engine controllers that were custom mapped by Shelby to try out and give the engineers feedback on. That car was unbeatable. If I remember, the only car that beat me was a 23 t-bucket with a full on, tunnel rammed 340. Dudes name was Gary and he had 9:50 time slips from firebird raceway. Really thought I could get him but I lost and had to fork over 200 bucks! |

And we had a fatal stabbing last night on the Huckleberry loop bike path at Stone and Wetmore. The loop is full of homeless druggies hiding under the overpasses waiting to knock people down and rob them and steal their bicycles. Whenever I ride it I carry my Kahr CW9 in my jersey pocket. Tucson's answer is to put up camps in town so they have somewhere to sleep after their tough day. Now they want to make open drug use a misdemeanor so the courts aren't clogged up. I am so done with this town. |

I’d rather be back in Tucson than CaCa Grande. There are good parts of Tucson. I like it more for the outdoors. Reddington Road, Mt Lemmon. Madera Canyon isn’t too far. This hellhole sucks. There’s nothing here but dirty farms. 2 hour drive to get to anything I like. It’s also getting ghettofied day by day. Tucson has gotten worse though. Oracle rd has changed a lot. It now looks like South 6th. I almost hit some crackhead stumbling around on the median one night. I also saw some security guard with his gun drawn chasing a shoplifter. That was comical. The thief had to drop everything bit by bit so he could run. The guard was obviously playing for the traffic passing by. There was a massive homeless camp on Golf Links across from DMAFB 3 years ago, but they cleared that shit out. |

I went into town today and did notice an uptick in zombies and (possible) prostitutes than I normally see. And this was at 8:30 AM. But it's obviously what the citizens of Tucson want, as they keep voting for it. When the winning candidate runs on a platform of "Stop Trump" regardless of what Trumps actually doing (good or bad), and you win 2/3 of the vote, it's obvious the citizens like living in a zombie filled toilet. The losing candidate actually wanted to do something about the problem (as seen in the video). But "Stop Trump" won the day.

You nailed it. The same crap year after year, the chance for a change but instead we're stuck with another grijalva for the next 24 years because of her "fight trump" message. November could be an opportunity to get 2 seats on the city council but in the end, the hoopleheads will overwhelmingly vote for a (d) to show how edgy they are. Tucson needs to be nuked from outer space, it's the only way to be sure. |

I moved here from North Carolina for a job, big mistake that I'm going to correct in a couple of years. But i live far enough away from Tucson city limits that the worst thing i have to worry about is late night gunfire, UTV and ATV noise and dust, idiotic HOAs, and idioric suburbanites. I really miss the South. |

I live on the East side, which I would say is a bit more conservative than the rest of the city. The local gov ignored the road conditions for 40+ years and they are finally having a major paving operation of all the neighborhoods. The vagrant druggies have heroin/meth/fentanyl hangouts. I was hatched there. Left several years ago. Haven't been back.
Casa Grande is better than Tucson in some areas, but the areas are smaller, of course, and you can go from nice to shady really fast. The scum moving in from Cali are making it worse. and greedy developers putting up scads of Section 8/"affordable housing" are making it even worse. Where I am is pretty good, but I see homeless wandering nearby nowadays. When I retire we'll sell out and get out... probably Texas. |

| Yes! I own a car dealership in Tucson. Have had the dealership for 20 years and lived here for 25. The liberal Grijalva mafia that runs this town has destroyed it. Open air drug use just isn't common, it is everywhere and the police are restricted from arresting those people because the county attorney will not prosecute. Same with shoplifting, vandalism, trespassing etc. My business and several friends business's have been broken into, things stolen or vandalized, thousands in damage done and nothing happens to the people who did it. Its well known now in that community that you aren't gonna be held responsible for anything unless its a violent crime and even then if its not rape or murder you are gonna be out the next day. |
| I was assaulted by a drug addled shoplifter at the circle k at speedway and countryclub. He body slammed me from behind as he was crashing through the door and we both hit the deck. He jumped up with something in his hand and started towards me. I pulled the 9 and kept the muzzle down and yelled at him to stop or I will shoot. Looks at the gun, turns around, runs out on speedway and gets hit by a car, gets up and runs to homeless camp behind ward 6 office. Car driver pulls over and we call Raheena's finest (911) and no cops ever showed up. Circle k also called cops, nothing, no cops. I honestly felt safer in Olongapo, P.I. than in this shithole called Tucson. |

I left Tucson two years ago and was feeling nostalgic and wanted to see what was going on and to my surprise the same shenanigans that have been going on in Tucson since the dawn of time. I miss the days of ruck runs down to the end of speedway with the ALICE pack and Bushmaster Dissipator, 2011 was super rad. When I got out of the Marines one of the first few weeks back at home my vehicle and my wife’s vehicle where broken into and everything was stolen. If you are reading this there are greener pastures. |

It’s not Tucson, it’s not Phoenix, it’s the whole state. The stuff I’ve seen in our court system is a joke. If we’re going court wise, Apache and Graham county had some pretty bad ones. Politicians in Arizona are a different class. Also if we are going with the shit kids have done, the former mayor of phoenix has that beat. That said, Arizona has always been that way. Sex crimes being covered up and trafficked victims being punished should be our state motto. |
