| I remember my days as a LEO. When we encountered an intoxicated individual we would attempt to help them arrange for a ride home. Of course back then it wasn't an offense so when we did detain someone they were released after they sobered up. Seemed to me that the Edmond officers, during the interaction with the SoS seemed more interested in detaining/arresting him rather than finding a safe way for him to get home since he said he lived close. What do y'all think? |

Don't think it's just edmond pd, pretty much county, local pd's & le agencies all over. The older deputies/officers are a bit more lenient, but newbies write tickets and/or arrest like mad. Service work I was doing I was all over the state & bit in kansas/texas, got to see le of all agencies doing what they do. Some even stopped to see what I was working on & shoot the shit. |
