Let's say hypothetically the iowa ban on the sale of "trigger activating devices" were aplicable to frt's... (which I don't think it is) Unlike other frt's, there are tons of vendors that have no issue selling and shipping Super Safeties (another type of FRT) to iowa customers. Posession is not outlawed, so would there be any legal argument that the purchaser is in the wrong? Accessory to the crime of the unlawful sale? could it be confinscated because it was not legal to sell in the first place? These can be 3d printed easily, but there is a blossoming market for metal made ones which last much longer. |

Same here, i'm just trying to cover my bases and see if there is any way to twist it before I find myself having to attempt to justify myself to a LEO when someone calls in about hearing someone shooting a "machine gun" |

What was the rate of fire of the firearm before the device was attached? That is an undefinable rate, but it is one of the elements which must be proven for a conviction. Am I wrong? |
