Family get together at Petit Jean State Park next weekend.
Would like to fish Arkansas River. Is the river navigable now with all the rain? I have a flat bottom with 25 hp. Thanks |

It's a pretty good distance from the river, though. |

There are a few tributaries to the Arkansas that might give better results... I'm pretty sure there is one near Petit Jean. (Maumelle River?)
The Arkansas tends to run pretty muddy after rains. it runs pretty strong too, I don't know if that motor will get you upstream or not. Ask around. |

I sure there hell wouldnt get in the AR river in a flatbottom boat and a 25hp motor...

Why? I have fished the Missouri River in a smaller boat. I also have a bass boat with a 90 hp. |

Bass boats I see on the river.
That would be a better choice, as long as you don't hit any obstructions the river. |
