Madison has a decent zoo (and its free to get in) called Vilas Zoo.
Attractions in Madison (and some surrounding areas)

Lots of state park stuff around Baraboo, but its not handicap friendly.

WI Dells (just north of Baraboo) has a bunch of attractions, including a boat ride through the cliffsides of teh WI River.
WI Dells attractions

Should be easier to get in places being you arent going to be there on a weekend.

Don't go to Madison.  Take a day trip to the Wisconsin Dells and do a duck tour https://www.wisconsinducktours.com/ and hit up a candy shop.  Other than that, it's a tourist town but beautiful country.  For good state parks head up here to Juneau CO.

Is that still open? We used to go there as kids back in the 60s, as it was close to Mauston.

Went there with the grandkids, probably 10 or so years ago.  Like a carni but more expensive.  Not at all impressed.  It looked like it was about to shut the doors back then.  Kids probably thought it was OK though.

Hit up the Log Cabin (early) for breakfast.
Construction zone if you are coming in from the west side though...

Devils lake state park is great.   The west bluff had a Handi-cap road up to the top of the bluff.  4x4 may be needed if the road is still passable.
Great view from the top.
