ok.. nancy mace has nice boobs ( fake though) Ralph Norman is my congressman...waste of space Josh Kimbrell is more interested in Ukraimne than SC...in fact has a uke bro flag on his cars not an americam flag. f that guy ( also my state senator) Pam Evverette ....meh Alan Wilson is the only man standing between Pam and Nancy YMMV |

| Nancy is my congressional rep and as my rep, her office has been responsive when I have reached out to them for help with various 3-letter agencies. In person she also has been pleasant and listened to what I had to say so I can't fault her for that. I think it will come down to her and Alan. |

Mace is nuts and hasn't voted conservative consistently. Evette gives strong Nikki Haley vibes and has no real record to judge her on. Wilson is a slimy career politician who had been soft on crime. He has been AG for 4 terms and is running as the "law and order" candidate yet crime has only gotten worse during his tenure as AG. Kimbrell doesn't stand a chance. Norman has a consistent record of voting conservative. I am cynical about all politicians but I like Norman's track record and his platform. He wants us to directly elect judges and that is needed if we want to hold them accountable for the weak sentences our criminal justice system is plagued with. He also wants to prioritize fixing our infrastructure. I have close friends who know Norman and Wilson, the ones who know Norman speak well of him, the ones who know Wilson do not. |

Nancy Mace is bat shit crazy. She always talks about working at Waffle House. The problem is, she’s 2AM Waffle House. Ralph Norman is too old. Alan Wilson is a weirdo daddy’s boy and a shitty prosecutor. (Look up the details of the Scott Spivey shooting) Pam Evette is my choice. She started her own business and made her own money. She works about 70 hours a week in a “part time” position as Lieutenant Governor. She is Catholic and has good values, and not just for show. She has a good relationship with the General Assembly but isn’t a good old boy. And the only similarities between her and Nikki Haley is that they both dress nice and have a similar hairdo. |

I met Norman and his wife at his office in DC this summer and was very impressed. Granted it was one meeting but he spent a lot of time with our group (South Carolina students competing in National History Day). We were only supposed to be there maybe 20 minutes but he was having so much fun with the kids we were there over an hour. Both he and his wife were genuinely kind (not politician kind) and he really seems to care for the state and the country. Does that mean I'm gonna agree with him all the time? No but I don't agree with anyone all the time so what is important to me beyond agreeing with enough of his politics is that he is not in it for the wrong reasons and that he has integrity which he struck me as having. Normally wouldn't weigh in on a discussion like this but having actually met Norman I thought I'd share my 2 cents  ETA I didn't know he was running for Governor but might agree with the above comment that he does seem a bit old to be running for governor. |

I’m leaning towards Evette for most of the same reasons you articulated very well. I’ve never been impressed by Wilson. He’s always on camera talking but not doing much action. A few years back there was the big investigation on corruption in the Statehouse led by a David Pascoe. Wilson tried to shut it down when the big fish were being investigated. |

That just tells me that he’s feeling the public backlash, but he doesn’t want to do his job. By passing it off, he can claim that he “did something.” But still avoid getting his hands dirty. He comes across as a weasel and I would never vote for that guy. For any new members, the primary is the election that counts in SC. Whoever wins the Republican primary, will likely be the governor. With that said, only about 13% of eligible voters participate in the primary. Every vote counts. So, make plans to be there. |

FWIW, I’ve seen the Lieutenant Governor attend several shooting matches, and awards banquets to support people that she knew, who were competing. She’s not a gunslinger. But, she’s solidly in the 2A camp. I know for a fact that she participates in dove and turkey hunting. Attached File |

Mace. Loon. She's the de facto coastal candidate. Wilson. Swampy. The Midlands, inside candidate. Evette. Upstate. Seems to be the Religious Right gal. Norman. He's never gotten anything done. As Gov, you're the face of the State, and you have to compromise to move the ball. That's not his Gig, though I'm more aligned with him on principles. I'm leaning Evette. good image for the State. Less downside risk. Let's face it. All the power in SC is in the Legislature, Gov is constitutionally weak as piss. Really can't even set the agenda. Governor is a glorified cheerleader. My wife taught Alan Wilson in 4th grade, she says he was a smart, well-mannered kid. She also knows Joe Wilson's wife very well. I think Alan would make a good governor, but he would be a GOP insider. I will consider Evette, she seems a solid conservative. Mace is a non-starter with me; she really gives the crazy vibes. I do not dis-like Norman but have never heard of him actually doing anything. |

No, the SC Attorney General does not have direct authority over state judges; rather, the South Carolina Supreme Court has jurisdiction over judicial administration and discipline. While the Attorney General cannot discipline judges, they do have a role in cases involving state officials, which can include judges, as well as a supervisory role over criminal prosecutions carried out by solicitors, according to the South Carolina Attorney General's Office and South Carolina Supreme Court. |
