I ain't leaving for a while and I intend to make the dip shits in Denvers lives politically miserable while we are still here but this doesn't feel like the same state. Western CO still has a lot to offer but it feels like Denver just won't leave us alone. We are looking at South Carolina most likely if we go. I don't wanna sound defeated but it just feels like especially short of doing something that might be COC we are just going to keep being marginalized. |
| I completely understand how ya feel. We could see the political BS changing Colorado from red to blue so we left living in the mountains for the red state of Florida. Obviously a huge change of weather with humidity and all but life is full of "give and takes". We sure miss the mountain scenery but we have more of a feeling of freedom living here with more "common sense" political decisions being made from the top. Good Luck ! |

Conservatives that don't think they are politically defeated in CO are unaware of the situation on the ground. Late term abortion, AWB, mag ban, call your kid "Timmy" on accident because he's a boy and go to prison... I live in a small conservative Colorado town and now have one interaction a day with a homeless drug addict. Aggressive and violent encounters are up to about one every 2 weeks. This is their winning. If you were sitting at a gun store counter in 1985 and calmly described Colorado in 2025 to the other patrons you would have been asked to leave because you are obviously fucking nuts. |
| Crime is absolutely rampant. We moved to a nice neighborhood in a nice area. We were burglarized 2 months after we moved. My business regularly has to deal with crap from homeless people and they are the worst. They are just like locusts they consume and destroy and move on without a second thought. Tons of libs are moving here every day. My vote is worthless. |

We left a year ago, 2 weeks after retirement. My vote and opinion didn't matter one bit. Sold my business, house and 45 years worth of crap. We made a small fortune. We bought a great home on acreage for 1/3 what I got in Elizabeth! No more blizzards, hail, wildfires or gangbangers. Much lower taxes overall. This will be our toe tag house. F@&% that pole smoker governor.Still shooting and fishing! I now play in more water than Colorado has ever seen. In our case it is greener on the other side of the fence.  Attached File |

My kids are thriving academically and learning traditional values due to the choice of school we had. I closed up my affairs last weekend and just drove the fuck away. No plan really other than escaping to a Red state. I'd rather be homeless somewhere else for a while than live in CO with my tax dollars funding the Spay/Neuter clinics for kids. At least the kids that survive the taxpayer funded partial birth abortions. The commies won, your vote means nothing, and they are taking the hammer and sickle all the fucking way home boys and girls. There was so much justifiable violence in my area that the police chief released a press release gently asking us to stop beating the fuck out of nearly every crackhead that showed up. As for the thing that was most fucked up about Colorado? Criminal justice "reform" is just that. Reform. New Form. Its like the words Amazing, Wonderful, and Awesome. These words don't actually have a positive connotation. Being shot in the chest is Amazing for a few moments. That airplane crash you are witnessing is full of Wonder. There is a lot of Awe in watching the Yellowstone Supervolcano depopulate North America. Similarly, our Criminal Justice system in Colorado only really has people come into work when they need to persecute someone on the non-preferred end of the political spectrum. A bit of rape? Probation. Kids walking around funny like it hurts down there? Probation. Sold the Chinese-made Fentanyl that killed thirty people in town? $1000 fine. Won't bake a cake because it violates your religious beliefs? Death penalty. 16 round magazine? Life in prison... Etc. etc. etc. Colorado is toast. Run. Let them have their ultra-liberal utopia and make damn sure it can all fall apart on their dime. |

As a Floridian, back in the early 00s, I was seriously looking at moving to Colorado. I was envious of the political and natural environment that Colorado had back then. Back then, you guys were 110 times better than Florida. Legal open carry with no permit, state preemption, shall issue CCW, no waiting periods, far less gun free zones. Plus, the outside was just amazing. It saddens me to see what has befallen Colorado. While Florida is not there yet, it is befalling what happened to post-war California. Right now, Florida is early stages of 1960s Republican controlled California. Everyone is moving here and everyone thinks that all the Republicans are pro-freedom. Well, they aren't. Many are leftist Democrats who simply run Republican to win elections because voters are lazy. |
