I’m seeing a lot more people reporting flooded roads this morning, mostly in Williamsburg, Georgetown, and Berkeley.

My body is ready. I have cases of water, canned chicken and tuna, 4mo supply of charcoal and a freezer full of things to grill.

the only luxury I need in the apocalypse is the ability to flush a toilet. I can get water from the well with a 5 gallon bucket or the generator. Everything else can go to hell.

I can't really post pics, but I've got one from the car of the Sampit at the end of Pennyroyal Road were it meets 17A between georgetown and andrews.

take this for what it's worth: https://ris.scdot.org/RoadConditionsForm.aspx?&zoom=11¢er=33.25430336634019,-79.57026326029376

looks like I made a lucky guess about which roads would flood.

That new bridge should have started at about BB Smiths store and gone past Hoyts.

Well with flooding one of the first things you lose is the ability to flush. You best hope it doesn’t come back up in a situation like that

Even though I live close to the river, in order to flood here would reach biblical proportions. We're talking 30' higher than 2015.

it'll be long past Sunday and Monday.

Lake Wyllie drains into the Catawba, Catawba drains into Wateree. The Wateree and the Congaree form the Santee, which flow to Santee cooper lakes. Marion and Moultrie drains into the old Santee river, which is probably already well past flood stage.

That's weeks worth of flooding.

Nah, Ernesto is going to stay out at sea. But, hey, there are still plenty more chances this season.
