| At least for a while. Southern Utah had it's first huge power outage since the early 2000's, IIRC. Our power was out from around 5:30pm to about 10pm. Now people are posting that we should expect rolling blackouts. Ugh. I left Kommiefornia because of this nonsense. I'm in Dixie Power Co-Op and I thought they had a handle on this but I guess everyone down here got hit. |
| Our power went off at about 5:00 and then came back on after 11:30. Its been on since then. I heard on local talk show that we should be good and all power companies involved have rerouted power. Although there may be some outages until things equalize. Sounded like a transformer blew out, may take up to 60 days to replace. Imagine that, not a single transformer to be found. |

| Someone online posted something like, if it takes two transformers to power the city why don't they have three? Just in case one goes out.. The city is spending money like a teenager with a credit card and can't build the infrastructure to keep up with the endless building permits they issue. No one in this city actually knows how a big city (Which is what they want St. George to become) operates. The traffic signal timing is all screwed up, the lack of bots dots on the roads make it almost impossible to navigate in the rain, especially when the lanes looked like they were striped by a drunk. |
