Greetings all. My family and I are headed out to hit the national parks in a week and wanted to know if there were any “must sees” in or around the parks and surrounding areas. Looking for any cool sites, dining, hiking, tips, etc Thanks and Happy Independence Day to everyone |

If you get a chance, pop up to Cedar Breaks. Very high altitude, a bit lesser known, so may be somewhat less crowded. Anything in the big parks is a great time. Bring water, especially at Zions. It's hot. Really hot. And zero humidity. Unless you're used to the desert heat, you may be shocked how fast you dry out. Seriously, drink more water than you think. Also, while you're there, it's pronounced "ZI-Uhn." Like, "Uh, with an N on the end." Not "Zi-Ahn" like the city in the Matrix. If you say it that way, you'll be clearly identified as some out of state carpetbagger. Also, the town of Hurricane is pronounced "Hurri-cuhn", not like the storm. |
