Hey guys. I am planning a small vacation to Corbin in the future.
So far we want to visit Cumberland resort park. Dig for gems. Swim. See the falls. Maybe hike. Visit buc-ees. We don’t have them in MI. Visit some rat splash in somerset. The boys love swimming.
What else should I look into? I have 6 year old boys. Anything in the Daniel Boone NF to look into?
Stop by the “Root Beer Stand” for lunch. Old school eat in your car - awesome chili dogs. It’s been there forever- I’m 58 and been eating there since I was a small kid. It’s closed on Sundays though.
Thinking you could run across Cumberland Parkway from Somerset to Mammoth Cave National Park. Could add it on to the end of your trip. Just run up I65 to Louisville, the. I71 to NKY and I75
There is a water park in Williamsburg. I'm not sure it's open yet. There are several nice flea markets in the area. How far are you willing to travel? The Smokey Mountains are an easy drive. The Knife Works is a must visit there. Buc-ee's is insane. Everything but gas is overpriced and it's full of crazy tourist. Speaking of gas. You will find gas much cheaper in Corbin than you are used to. How long is the trip for?
