Let's see, we have our sidewalk tax, but no sidewalk in front of our building.

A stormwater tax to pay for the rain that falls on the ground.

A Denver Privilege tax for all employees.

And now, an affordable housing tax.

Don't forget the stealth tax of high insurance due to high crime, the cost to remove graffiti from our building, and the cost to replace catalytic converters that get stolen from delivery trucks parked at our office overnight.

Guess where we will be relocating our business to......  Anywhere but Denver

Yes, they are idiots, and
no, this will not work, and
no, they will not learn.

Boulder is a bit further along that curve.  There are currently around 2000 people on the waiting list for affordable housing.

Here's the best part, and it's absolutely fantastic:  The housing authority recently sold 20-30 of its affordable housing units.  To pay for budget shortfalls in maintenance and administrative salaries.

They're not bums. They're urban outdoorsmen.

I'd vote for death camps myself

Seriously though, I think work camps would be a great idea.  Get arrested and convicted for doing drugs in public? 6 months in a work camp.
