Let's hope the upper level wind shear saves us from most of them like last year.

They are predicting 94 oF today.  Hopefully the seabreeze kicks in keeps us below that.

it's anthropogenic global warming.  We are all gonna die.  First though, all the polar bears, seals and penguins will vanish.  Sea levels will rise and wipe out Miami.   We have to go all electric.
Never mind those pesky volcanos,  sun spots and earth tilt silliness

I'm in Lake County.  Sunday and Monday were miserable.

Saturday was hot too, but I spent most of the day drinking in a pool.

I cut part of my front yard on Sunday and it was miserable.  I couldn't get water in me fast enough and I felt hung over Monday morning when I got up, which was AWESOME since we rode the bikes out to Florida National for the Memorial Day ceremony and to visit a few graves.  Started out dehydrated and just made it worse being in direct sunlight most of the day.  The sun bleached the tops of my pant legs and I left salt stains in them that didn't wash all the way out.

I don't know why everyone is complaining about the heat. It's was nice out today. Only 92 , partly cloudy and a good breeze. Got out of work early and took the dog on a three mile hike.

We broke records last year that were set in the 1880s. Why were the 1880s hot?

Born and raised in FL, always hated the heat and humidity. Finally made the move a few years back, now in MT. It was 53 this morning and will be a blazing 78 today. 80s coming later this week, may finally have to turn the A/C on.

And you got light ones.  We just got a patio and two sidewalks done in pavers.  The color was Indian Summer.  I warned the Mrs that they would get hot and could fade.  Couldn't talk her out of the color. We can cook off them today.

They were planting citrus in Citrus County and a great deal of it was killed in freezes in the 1930s

Hot in FL?  that's a real no-shitter.. it's been pushing triple digits here in NE FL for over a week.  I don't leave the house unless I have to..  plus the lack of any significant rainfall, wildfires are a possibility.   Any forested area with
Hurricane  Michael debris still on the ground would be a nightmare..

There was a firestorm a few years back west of Daytona.  Hmm..

ETA:  Spring of 1998, east coast of FL.  Several months of little or no rainfall set it up, once the fires got started they expanded rapidly.  Tiger Bay State Forest was heavily impacted and experienced a firestorm.  The fires jumped I 95 in several locations, prompting the evacuation of an entire county.  At one point the fires extended from south of Daytona to St Augustine.   My community here was threatened but fortunately not impacted.  Don't underestimate a bunch of crackers with garden hoses and shovels..
