Well, Arizona was a good run for me, but almost time to say goodbye. After 26 years at the Department of Public Safety, I am hanging up my hat and retiring. October 1 will be my official last day at work. Retiring as a Captain has afforded me the ability to not have to work again, if I choose to do so. And right now, I choose not to.  I am moving the spouse to our new residence in Georgetown, South Carolina on June 15. Truck will be packed up, and driving out. My current house is for sale, and it is bittersweet, having lived there the last 29 years. Will be housesitting for my brother in the west valley until my retirement date. The house in Georgetown is on 1.6 acres of grass and leafy trees, out in the country, but only 25 minutes from the Atlantic Ocean and pristine sandy beaches. Got a bigger house, much bigger property, a barn for my workshop, and more than a man could ask for. Thank you all, and keep Arizona red! |

Lucky you!! I have 3.5 years until I retire, but I think I'm stuck here due to grandkids and stuff like that. Congrats on the time of service, and double congrats surviving a dangerous career choice all those years!! Have fun, and most importlantly, enjoy your retirement, you earned it!! |
