Anyone heard anything about investors paying insane prices for land in this area for housing developments?  Heard through the grapevine that some people have been offered high prices in the area from investors wanting to build houses for the increased workforce they are expecting because of the new industries going in around the area. Wife and I own some ground on a paved road west of Baldwin City and if true this might be a good time to dump the ground and use the money to buy land closer to home that will retain it's value outside of a niche market.

Know about the big intermodal yard that went up in the area but haven't heard about the Panasonic plant. When is this going to happen?  

ETA. my wife knew about the battery plant from something she saw on facebook. She said it sounded like it was for producing EV batteries and would be operational in 2024 or 2025.
