| What can you tell me about Leominster in regards to crime, safety, cost of living,etc.? My wife has an opportunity to work in one of the hospitals. We currently live in Pennsylvania. |

I live in NH and the Leominster Hospital is about 30 minutes away, less than a 20 mile drive. If you have semi-auto "assault rifles", pistols, normal capacity mags, etc that you don't want to get rid of NH is the best option. My place of employment is in Lexington, MA. We had a new guy come from PA a couple years ago. At that time he left lots of stuff that would be illegal in MA with family in PA. Earlier this year he bought a house in NH. Leominster was the last place I lived before buying in NH. I never really worried about crime and safety. I can't speak as to cost of living or how it is now. It's been almost 25 years. North Leominster Rod & Gun Club was a nice club, especially if you like trap and skeet. No reason to think anything changed. There's also pretty much any store you could want in that area now. |

Bluntly stated, it’s generally a horrible area. I don’t even stop at the D’Angelo sandwich place near the mall anymore, and they have the best steak and cheese on the planet. I was a cop in a nearby town, I have two friends who are supervisors on Fitchburg PD, and many friends in nearby towns. None of them live, or would live, in the immediate area. Ashburnham, Lunenburg, Ayer, etc. are nearby towns that are much “better” in all ways. Shockingly, even Clinton is becoming a shithole— though I saw that was inevitable starting 20-25 years ago. |
