We were kinda close to pulling the trigger in 2019, but we ultimately decided it just wouldn't pan out that well financially at that exact moment. Wife just went in to renegotiate her contract and it's not looking amazing. So we're on the hunt again. Been looking off and on, and after her recent meeting we went pretty hard at it all day. Found a bunch of promising looking jobs and one of them was from the same place we almost jumped at in '19. So I'm trying to do a little digging here and see what kind of things might rear up and surprise us. If it works out we'd end up somewhere up in Park County or the west side of Big Horn County. I'm being dense I'm sure, but it looks like to register a '20 F350 in Wyoming I'd be paying $90. But I got all confused on a different page and a calculator spit out a number of like $1600. Was that if I were to be purchasing a new/or new to me vehicle? ^^^Little gotcha's like that are what I'm hoping to get a heads up on. |

So do they go off of what it’s worth now or the purchase price? And then renewals will be the $90? What about our side by side and quads? They’ve never been off our property and the SxS is the only one I’ve ever considered getting a plate for. Any other places a guy might get surprised? |

It factors in the purchase price minus depreciation by year. So, it will decrease every year. Other than that, no surprises when I bought a house and moved here. I'm out in the sticks on county land, so your mileage may vary, but I don't recall my brother in town- Casper- noticing anything awry. |
