| I have been looking at Kentucky as my potential new home. Can i have some feedback as to the areas i should be looking at ? You know the drill 2nd amendment not to rural but close to a city yet close to endless mountains and hiking trails, lakes and like minded people in the surrounding communities. |

Wife and I moved from Lexington about a year ago, and we're in Madison county now. Much quieter and the space is beautiful. We can be in Lexington in 20-25 minutes if we need to, and tomorrow we'll be driving up to Paris for Thanksgiving at my uncle's new place. It'll only be 36 miles one way. If we need to get to the gorge for hiking and/or camping, we can do so in roughly 1 hour. |

I'm in the same boat as the OP. Visited last year and absolutely fell in love with the Bardstown area. Planning to go back this spring to explore other areas. I have a firearm question. My dream is to buy a big enough property to build my own range (100yds would do me fine). While I can find basic gun law info I haven't found anything on private property usage and distances from roads and dwellings. Can anyone direct me there? |
