If it passes are we in a good position in MI with suppressors since they are under the NFA now and legal to own in MI? If it passes can the libtards in Lansing pass a law banning them in the state. In GD some are saying states are already working to mess up the HPA. |

I think we are good. Attorney General Bill Schuette made an opinion about suppressors and that Michigan Citizens can legally possess them having the appropriate license or APPROVAL with the BATFE. I'm guessing a background check is an APPROVAL just like any other firearm. Here's the link. Opinion #7260 |

Opinion #7260 "assuming the appropriate license or APPROVAL is obtained from the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, a Michigan citizen may legally possess, manufacture, or sell a firearm silencer or muffler.1". My guess is that an APPROVAL is like any background check the same for any other firearm. I could be wrong. Maybe the new AG has another opinion. I still want it to pass. |

Currently I have 13 cans and 3 SBRs, theres a few more I want. Last time I went to the range I was the only one with a can, or I just didn't notice. | The last I was aware the Current bill going to Senate removes them Completely from the NFA, and they would not be subject to a 4473, all the AG's opinion delved into the NFA process itself so I assume a new AG's opinion on the matter would be needed in the later, if Silencers are removed from the NFA completely with no background check post bill purchases would be illegal in Michigan pending some sort of clarification form the ATF or a change in Michigan law. |
