Thanks! I sat out there all afternoon and saw nothing. Sure was a nice day for a nap though. I picked up a new rifle, CVA Optima V2, and would love to shoot something big with it. |

Good luck tomorrow. I didn't see any deer, plenty of squirrels and turkeys walking around. The Optima V2 is a great gun. Plenty accurate and the best trigger out of the box out of all the muzzleloaders I've owned. Glad I got one a few years ago and retired my T/C Strike. ETA: I also picked up an Optima V2 pistol but haven't hunted with it yet. Only shot it a couple times so far. |

Hypothetical situation during muzzie season: It's no longer bear baiting season, but it is deer baiting season. If you are baiting for deer and a bear comes along and crunches down a few apples just before you shoot it, were you baiting for bear? |

I can’t answer but I’ve always wondered myself where the line is between baiting and not. Seems like a shitshow. If I plant a small field with clover or something similar, is that baiting or am I a farmer just taking advantage of my field. Same with apple trees. My old house had a couple apple trees and we had deer on a regular basis. Is that baiting if I hunted my front yard? |

| Saw 3 does this morning. Small, medium and large. The 2 smaller does fed around and didn't seem too aware, but the big matriarch doe was wound up tight as a bow string. I was absolutely still in my blind and made no noise but she just stared at the blind for 10 minutes straight until they all wandered off. |
