This is a heads up that the NM CCU is requiring resubmitting of electronic finger prints. This started in April but was resolved. Now renewals are getting letters to resubmit finger prints. I believe this is BS and NM CCU is not being transparent on this because they love to make things difficult. I squeaked by on a renewal but, if you are a NMSSA member contact your District Director or NMSSA direct on X or through email. Contact your NM state rep and senator. I am going to find out what this "emergency rule provision" BS is all about. NM CCU is not being transparent because it's a lie. I have had LE do the same thing in this state. We need to fight this. Multiple people have told me they are going to give up their CCW license because of all the hoops they have to jump through. We must push back on this arbitrary rule making via our state and local rules. update: NM CCU says we are the same as LE, teachers, nurses, who must have background checks and these checks require a new electronic finger print each renewal period.
